Well, first of all let me share my experience .I used to have a full time job and there was not a single workout place/gym near my residence. By then ,I was not in a position to buy expensive treadmills and things. Suddenly one of those days, I thought of trying jogging inside the house.
Many of my friends and family discouraged the whole idea. They felt this was going to be abandoned soon, as the results would be low. But I did surprise everything and everyone! What I started as a challenge became the epitome of my daily regime. I started jogging for 20 minutes reaching up to an hour in less than three months. I used to take a small 30 second break in between every 3-5 minutes of jogging.
With a few variations I found beautiful results. When I actually jogged with hard intensities followed by medium and low intensities, I was energized for the whole day. Best part was the weight loss was getting all the time better, with an average 3 extra loss . As I cut down the fried ones and sweets, the weight loss became more evident. I skipped two sizes and best part was I was getting into shape. The confidence was there!
If you combine the diet control with jogging, things would really work better for you .Another question that pops up is when do you want to jog?-Is it in morning or evening.Well,I would prefer mornings. I have read about studies stating and then later contradicting on weight loss because of exercises done in morning. But the main reason according to me, is you feel more energized and since this is the first activity in morning, your body would not be tired. This might not be case for many who want to try them in evenings; who after the long day would not find much energy to even do the routine stuffs!
It is always nice to do the jogging at spot or jog in straight lines inside the house. If you are jogging at spot, make sure you maintain the intensities and vary it for better results. When you are jogging inside the house, make sure you are careful in the environment. The environment should be free form things that could be hit while you make the movements.
The results for many of my overweight friends and housewives had been good. They have lost close to 50 pounds in less than 4-5 months. The more you put in the results would be coming. I would say, if you are just patient for a month, you could throw away all those diet pills and look into the real solution for most of us-Just keep jogging!
